What to expect during the scheduled registration call:
Scheduling your registration call is the next step in your recovery process and you will NEED to do so at least 72 hours prior to your surgery. On this scheduled call, you will:
- learn the PT Genie program in detail and how it benefits your recovery
- walk through insurance benefits information
- set up a test video call to ensure your technology is working properly
- schedule your initial visit for a PT evaluation and follow up visits with a PTA
Once completed, you will be officially registered for the PT Genie program. Please reach out to the onboarding specialist and/or account manager if you have any questions or concerns.

Ariel Woldman, ATC

Before joining PT Genie in 2021, Ariel served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, OH, where she provided athletic training services for both men’s and women’s athletic teams. She has been involved with the American Tae Kwon Do Association since 2002 and holds the rank of a 5th degree blackbelt.
Ariel earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Psychology minor degrees from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2018. She currently resides in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
Jennifer Barden, PT, DPT, GCS, CSCS

Jennifer graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is recognized as a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatrics and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well. Prior to physical therapy school, she attended The College of William and Mary for her undergraduate B.S. degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Jennifer participated in Division I Swimming throughout her 4 years at William and Mary which began her interest in physical therapy. She values the importance of human movement throughout the continuum of life and aims to maximize her clients’ function to get them back to doing what they love most. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys keeping an active lifestyle, exercising, traveling with her husband, Brett, and spending time with family.
Sherron McGowan, PT, M.Ed

Sherron has been working as a physical therapist for more than 30 years, including starting an outpatient orthopedic clinic in her hometown, and 7 years of teaching at Penn State University where she was responsible for the initial accreditation of the PTA Program at the DuBois Campus. Sherron’s biggest motivation is being able to help people. She enjoys people and loves to hear their stories, as well as watching her patients grow more and more confident.
Outside of work, Sherron loves working out on her Peloton Bike, trail riding, and cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions!
Shauna Epperson, PT, DPT, OCS, cert DN
Physical Therapist, NOMS Northeast Ohio Spine Center
Shauna has been working as a physical therapist since obtaining or Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. Prior to receiving this advanced degree, Shauna worked in other physical therapy clinics in a variety of roles for seven years. The majority of her experience comes from working in an outpatient orthopedic setting. She received her Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) in 2020.
What she enjoys most about the work she does is helping patients stay active. Shauna has a love for the study of orthopedics and is constantly learning new things including dry needling, which she became certified to practice in 2021.
Her hobbies include working out, vacationing with family and being active.
Brittan McCombs, PTA
Rehab Specialist, NOMS Northeast Ohio Spine Center
Brittan graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and was also a Division 1 Varsity athlete competing in Synchronized Skating. After college, she took some time to explore her options and received her personal training certification. Being a competitive ice skater for her entire life, gave her a plethora of experiences with physical therapy and an interest in the human anatomy. Once she discovered the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Bryant and Stratton College she felt it was the perfect career path. After graduating in 2020 she worked at two different privately-owned outpatient clinics until starting with the Gobezie Shoulder Institute in November 2021. She feels incredibly thankful to be a part of the amazing NOMS team, and loves to see the progress her patients are able to achieve.
Shannon Ross
Onboarding Specialist, NOMS Northeast Ohio Spine Center
With over 10 years of medical office experience, Shannon committed her time to Physical Therapy offices in the Orlando Metro area. With Shannon’s aspiration to provide quality, low-cost medical services to those in need, sometimes even in the comforts of their own home, her affiliation with PT Genie is a genuine connection built to last. Shannon presents herself as a multi-talented individual splitting her off time with her family and providing quality Ultrasound studies to underprivileged communities. Shannon is a married mother of 5 not including her 3 fur babies. She is a coaster enthusiast and loves to visit different amusement parks with her family. Shannon has a sincere passion for helping others and truly loves to see the strength and growth of the provider/patient connection.
Syeda Sherazi
Onboarding Specialist, NOMS Northeast Ohio Spine Center
With experience working in physical therapy and multidisciplinary offices as a medical receptionist and PT Aide, Syeda has learned a great deal from many people of different backgrounds, helping her to provide the best care possible for patients. Syeda has multiple professional certifications including CITI Program (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) and HSR (Human Subject Research) Certified. She is currently in school for Health Information Management.
Outside of work Syeda is a published poet in the American Library of Poetry. She enjoys playing brain stimulating games, yoga and meditation, and exploring different nature preserves.
Michelle Rosario
Onboarding Specialist, NOMS Northeast Ohio Spine Center
Michelle has been working in medical offices for 6 years and has a passion for helping and talking to people. Whether it be to schedule them for an appointment or just inform them of anything they need to know, she loves getting to know their story and making sure they get the best care possible.
In her free time, Michelle loves spending time with her 4 year old daughter and 11 year old son. They enjoy going to football games together, shopping and taking walks.
