Home-based Physical Therapy Provider to Expand Services
ORLANDO, FL, July 27, 2020 – PT Genie has hired Boynton Beach resident, Ben Galin, DPT, to serve as Director of Strategy for the state of Florida. Dr. Galin will assist the company in broadening its scope through the state through strategic relationships with physical therapy offices, home health care services and orthopedic medical practices. PT Genie is a digital health company that is advancing the field of physical therapy through its patented motion sensor device and software that keeps patients connected to their providers while they exercise safely at home.
As a clinical and workflow healthcare technology consultant and Doctor of Physical Therapy with prior startup experience bringing healthcare technology to market in product design, function, and market strategy, Dr. Galin has been on the forefront of the post-acute care healthcare evolution in his various roles over the past 10 years. In addition to his new role with PT Genie, he currently serves as administrator for Evolution Rehab Group in Boca Raton, and as Product Director of BlissCONNECT, a healthcare technology consulting company in Cary, North Carolina.

Dr. Galin joins PT Genie with more than 10 years of consultative services for post-acute care providers and more than 10 years of technology development and integration to streamline operations and clinical outcomes for post-acute providers. In previous roles, he has served as owner and director of nursing, therapy, and home care service organizations as well as B2B diagnostics with physician groups.

PT Genie is a wearable device that keeps patients connected with their physical therapist when doing exercises from home. The patient wears small sensors while they exercise that send data back to the therapist to monitor progress and help when needed. Through an interactive, virtual reality avatar on a tablet, patients are guided to perform exercises correctly. It provides real-time feedback and an ongoing connection between patient and therapist to ensure the patient is successfully recovering.
Dr. Galin earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He earned both a Master’s and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
