Throughout his career, John has transformed healthcare enterprises to make them more responsive, diverse and profitable. These guiding principles have helped John in developing higher performing organizations serving families and their caregivers in metropolitan, rural, world class and safety net settings.
Recognizing changing markets and employee needs, John has reinvented operating structures to make them more agile, adaptive and connected. Committed to diversity, inclusion and mentoring new careerists, John has been effective in creating cultures of trust, integrity, and collaboration. In addition to developing surgery centers and referral networks, John has served in multiple leadership roles across the US. This includes Vice Chancellor/COO for LSU Health Shreveport, CEO for LSU’s Conway and Long Medical Centers, Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer with GW Health, Vice President for Strategy with Navvis Healthcare, and Executive Director for Access Improvement with NewYork-Presbyterian among others.
A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), John holds a JD from the University of Maryland, an MPA from the University of Baltimore and a BA from SUNY Stony Brook. For years, he served as an adjunct faculty member at both LSU Health Shreveport and UMBC where he taught public health law and healthcare administration respectively. A Member of the Maryland Bar, John has been recognized by the State of Louisiana and City of Baltimore for his pro bono community services in improving EMS, fire and trauma services.
