Dr. Gobezie is a practicing orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of extensive experience in healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, his innovative techniques within advanced arthroscopic surgery and shoulder replacement surgery care rank him as one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the United States. Dr. Higgins is the President and Co-Founder of Genie Health. Driven by his passion for the provider/patient relationship, Dr. Higgins was inspired to create a tool that not only kept providers up to date with real time data about patient progress, but also enhanced compliance and improved outcomes.
Dr. Higgins’ diverse background includes having served as the Chief of the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in Boston, MA. During this time, he developed a world-class and internationally renowned clinical care and subspecialty training programs and served as an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and the combined Harvard Orthopaedic Residency program. Compelled to expand his impact on value driven care and outcomes research, Dr. Higgins received his MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and lectured at Harvard Business School. Dr. Higgins also serves as the Vice President of Strategic Development for Arthrex; a global medical device company and has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and chapters. Striving to maximize opportunities and stakeholder return, Tim brings unity to team members and departments throughout the company. He shows investment with technology, customer success, sales, and marketing with a central focus on client success and business success.
With a degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and a master’s in business administration from one of the top 50 MBA Programs countrywide, Crummer School of Business at Rollins College, he utilizes data-driven tactics and strategies to propel Genie Health forward.
Dr. Galin is an experienced physical therapist, product strategist, entrepreneur, administrator, and consultant with extensive experience designing clinical and operational workflows and product oversight for healthcare software companies. Having worked and managed rehab in multiple settings in the healthcare ecosystem, turn-around consulting, and been instrumental in several healthcare tech startups; Dr. Galin ensures Genie Health continuously stays ahead in the ever-changing MSK environment.
Dr. Shishani is a distinguished clinical researcher, renowned for his proficiency in innovative orthopedic surgery technology, patient recovery trends, clinical outcome measures, and the optimization of clinical care. His certification from The American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (ABAIM) endows him with specialized knowledge in the data-to-intelligence continuum, healthcare data management, and the ethical considerations surrounding AI.
A graduate from the faculty of Medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology, with extensive research fellowships from University Hospital Case Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Shishani brings a wealth of experience to the forefront, emphasizing the scientific foundations that underpin enhanced patient care and optimized care delivery. Driven by a dedicated commitment, his focus is on revolutionizing remote patient monitoring capabilities within the MSK space, exploring its impact on overall patient satisfaction, and reshaping traditional care delivery paradigms for clinicians. His enthusiasm for data, machine learning, and quantum computing has enabled him to collaborate with advanced enterprises, assist companies supported by private equity, and spearhead start-ups.
A seasoned chief technology officer and IT expert, Marko’s adaptability is evident in his experience with machine learning systems in various sectors, including financial services, ocean exploration, and healthcare.
Marko earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Law from Bayes Business School in London and completed a MicroMasters in Quantum Computing at Purdue University.
