What to expect during the scheduled registration call:

Scheduling your registration call is the next step in your recovery process and you will NEED to do so at least 72 hours prior to your surgery. On this scheduled call, you will:

  • learn the PT Genie program in detail and how it benefits your recovery
  • walk through insurance benefits information
  • set up a test video call to ensure your technology is working properly
  • schedule your initial visit for a PT evaluation and follow up visits with a PTA

Once completed, you will be officially registered for the PT Genie program. Please reach out to the onboarding specialist and/or account manager if you have any questions or concerns.

Your Care Team

Gary M. Zartman, MD

Dr. Zartman is a Colorado native with family in the Brickerville area of Lancaster County. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Colorado, Denver. After completing an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Zartman went on to complete his orthopedic residency at The Harvard Orthopedic Training Program. He also spent two years serving the Public Health Service on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico.

Dr. Zartman is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and also holds the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Medical Association.

Specializing in minimally invasive surgery of the hip and knee including hip arthroscopy, Dr. Zartman participates in the training of medical residents at Lancaster General Hospital.

Joy L. Long, MD

Dr. Long is a native of Lancaster County and a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. After graduating from her residency in orthopedic surgery at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, she completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Michigan.

A Board Certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Long is a member of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. She is also a member of the Ruth Jackson Society for women in orthopedics.

Dr. Long has a special interest in arthroscopic knee, hip, shoulder and ankle surgery as well as reconstructive shoulder and knee surgery.

Michael J. Bercik, Jr., MD

Dr. Michael Bercik is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in both Shoulder & Elbow surgery as well as Orthopaedic Traumatology.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University, Dr. Bercik received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. There he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Society. Dr. Bercik completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA. While there, he was awarded the Mark D. Chilton award for outstanding patient care, as well as the annual Orthopaedic In-training Examination award for achieving the highest score in the residency. He then returned to New Jersey to complete a fellowship in Trauma and Reconstructive surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he learned the most advanced techniques for treating both acute fractures and post-traumatic complications such as nonunions, malunions, infections and arthritis.

After completing his trauma fellowship, Dr. Bercik completed two international fellowships with a focus on ailments of the shoulder and elbow. At the renowned Centre Orthopédique Santy in France, Dr. Bercik learned under Dr. Gilles Walch, considered by many to be one of the best and most influential shoulder surgeons in the world. He then continued to Melbourne, Australia where he continued his training with Professor Simon Bell at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre and Monash University.

A native of northern New Jersey and the son of an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bercik currently resides in Lancaster with his wife, two sons, and their dog. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, spending time with his family and friends, and passionately rooting for the New York Giants.

Michael A. Campbell, DO

Dr. Michael Campbell is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine.

Dr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  While at Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Campbell was a three-time Academic All-American soccer player, captaining the team to the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship.  Dr. Campbell went on to receive his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating at the top of his class.  He completed his orthopedic residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  From there, he completed a one-year fellowship training in sports medicine at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.  He treated all levels of athletes from weekend warriors to high school, collegiate and the professional ranks.

After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Campbell joined a practice in Exton, Pennsylvania where he had been practicing for the last 9 years before joining the Lancaster Orthopedic Group in 2019.

Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Campbell’s clinical practice includes the non-operative and operative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee.  His expertise lies in the minimally invasive/arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, as well as reconstructive procedures for the shoulder, hip and knee.

Corey R. Troxell, DO, MBA

Dr. Troxell, a native of Clearfield, PA, received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from his residency with PinnacleHealth System in Harrisburg, he then went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After finishing his fellowship in 2009, he practiced in Berks County.

In 2019, Dr. Troxell received his Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.

A Board Certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Troxell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is certified in Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty.

Dr. Troxell’s clinical practice includes operative and nonoperative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative/arthritic conditions. Among his special interests are the arthroscopic treatment of knee, shoulder, and hip injuries. He has significant experience working as a team physician at the high school, collegiate and professional sports levels.

Alan S. Tuckman, MD

Dr. Tuckman received his M.D. degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Tuckman completed his orthopedic surgery training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and received his foot and ankle fellowship training at The Emory Clinic in Atlanta.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Tuckman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Tuckman’s special interests are in disorders of the foot and ankle as well as total ankle replacement. He is a clinical instructor for Smith+Nephew’s Cadence Total Ankle System and teaches total ankle replacement surgery to other orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Tuckman also has a special interest in dance injuries and has been an orthopedic consultant for the Atlanta Ballet and the Berks Ballet.

Tianna P. Bolinsky, PT, DPT, DAC

Physical Therapist, Lancaster Orthopedic Group

Born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania, I completed my Master’s degree in physical therapy in 2005 and my Doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2012. I have been working primarily in physical therapy outpatient and home health settings since graduation. I have experience as a manager of a busy outpatient clinic, teaching at Penn State University, and am currently working in home health physical therapy while raising my two young daughters.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family including her husband, Joe, daughters Braelyn and Brielle, Labrador dog, Bane, and cats, Violet and Binx! I love exercising, playing basketball, reading, fishing, and spending time with extended family and friends.

Hayley McGowan, PTA

Account Manager and Rehab Specialist, Lancaster Orthopedic Group

Hayley McGowan is a Physical Therapist Assistant of six years with a focus in outpatient rehabilitation. She graduated with an associate’s degree from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA in 2016. Hayley has experience working with patients who are post-operative as well as non-surgical patients.

Hayley grew up in a small county in Pennsylvania called Elk County. It is the only area in PA that actually has elk. She spends her free time doing any outdoor activities. In the warmer months, she likes going hiking with her dog, or hopping in a kayak and floating on a lake or river all day. In the winter, she enjoys going snowboarding with her friends and family. Hayley is also a foodie! She may not like every food out there, but she will never turn down the opportunity to try new foods. Hayley is a travel enthusiast. Her travel bucket list includes traveling to every state and every national park in the US, going on an African Safari, and exploring as much of Europe and Asia as she can.

Tracy Swiderski, PT

I have been a Physical Therapist for 25 years. I graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA. I have specialized in orthopedics since and also have certifications in dry needling. I currently live on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, but my extended family still resides in Erie where I still call “home” and visit yearly. And of course, I only bleed black and gold and will never be anything other than a Steeler fan!

Sherron McGowan, PT, M.Ed

Sherron has been working as a physical therapist for more than 30 years, including starting an outpatient orthopedic clinic in her hometown, and 7 years of teaching at Penn State University where she was responsible for the initial accreditation of the PTA Program at the DuBois Campus. Sherron’s biggest motivation is being able to help people. She enjoys people and loves to hear their stories, as well as watching her patients grow more and more confident. 

Outside of work, Sherron loves working out on her Peloton Bike, trail riding, and cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions! 

Shannon Ross

Onboarding Specialist, Lancaster Orthopedic Group

With over 10 years of medical office experience, Shannon committed her time to Physical Therapy offices in the Orlando Metro area. With Shannon’s aspiration to provide quality, low-cost medical services to those in need, sometimes even in the comforts of their own home, her affiliation with PT Genie is a genuine connection built to last. Shannon presents herself as a multi-talented individual splitting her off time with her family and providing quality Ultrasound studies to underprivileged communities. Shannon is a married mother of 5 not including her 3 fur babies. She is a coaster enthusiast and loves to visit different amusement parks with her family. Shannon has a sincere passion for helping others and truly loves to see the strength and growth of the provider/patient connection. 

Michelle Rosario

Onboarding Specialist, Lancaster Orthopedic Group

Michelle has been working in medical offices for 6 years and has a passion for helping and talking to people. Whether it be to schedule them for an appointment or just inform them of anything they need to know, she loves getting to know their story and making sure they get the best care possible. 

In her free time, Michelle loves spending time with her 4 year old daughter and 11 year old son. They enjoy going to football games together, shopping and taking walks. 

Syeda Sherazi

Onboarding Specialist, Lancaster Orthopedic Group

With experience working in physical therapy and multidisciplinary offices as a medical receptionist and PT Aide, Syeda has learned a great deal from many people of different backgrounds, helping her to provide the best care possible for patients. Syeda has multiple professional certifications including CITI Program (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) and HSR (Human Subject Research) Certified. She is currently in school for Health Information Management. 

Outside of work Syeda is a published poet in the American Library of Poetry. She enjoys playing brain stimulating games, yoga and meditation, and exploring different nature preserves.
